There are E-type owners in Lincs North region much older than 66 but it would be unpolitic to say more. One owner has done the 'Entente Cordiale' several times, a trip of some 2500 miles in a week.

Well done oz5986, the youngest owner on the thread yet!

Nice motor by the way, mine's LHH 777F in the photo's section. Might actually be able to drive it this weekend as it looking promising on the sunshine front :D

Oh Steve, bring it to Whitchurch I need some inspiration and encouragement! Brakes finally plumbed and dash panels re-trimmed. Only a small mountain to climb now.

Wish I was as young as Oz, might have enough energy to pump up the tyres.

This 54 year old has got a big cheesy grin from ear to ear having been out for a blast in the West Sussex country lanes!
Replenished my vitiman D, boosted my endorphins and a dose of adrenalin almost feel as young as Oz if it wasn't for Hayfever. :D  :D :D

Got my rebuilt top wishbones on having CMC modify them to take sealed modern ball joints. Took it for a blast yesterday and what a difference, pin sharp steering and fantastic sunshine an excellet 200 miles in great weather. More sunshine please.

This mid aged E driver and his car are climbing out of their cocoon, waking up, and getting ready for some more sunshine this weekend. Sunshine=driving=happiness=feeling young again!

Anyone else still alive or even awake?

Yup - planning a trip out tomorrow to visit a mate who's just acquired an XF! Never been in one before - looking forward to that.

Even warmer towards the weekend so make the most of it!!

Yip, we are awake over here at Portsmouth, Steve.

Don`t forget our Fort Nelson event on Sunday 26th August 2012.

Gates open at 10.30am. £5 per car including the driver. Passengers over 18, £1 each. Bring a picnic and enjoy a day out on the top of the South Downs. All Jaguar owners welcome.

The age of the driver of my E-type today was 32yrs old, I think he has been the youngest driver so far to use it.

When I collected it he was chuffed to bits..

Hi All,
Great to read about all you young lads and your E Types. No I'm not an E Type driver but when I mention to friends that my first car was a 1937 2.5 litre SS Jaguar they say 'did you have it from new' No, but sometimes it feels like it. Enjoy them as long as you can

I'm a young lad of 47, narrowly beaten by Car-Nut, but then he did say he bought his E-type 'about' three years ago.

Bought my 1962 coupe when I was 44 after selling my Griffith 500 - still miss the power, noise and reliability (yes, really) - a Capri MkI 3.0 GXL that I'd been attempting to restore for 19 years.

I think removing the Jaguar IRS to have the diff rebuilt and refitting it all armed with little more than a wobbly trolley jack and dozens of blocks of wood aged me ten years.

Still, got it all back together in the nick of time for Weston Park and Le Mans Classic.

Well we've managed to break a record, the longest thread ever on the E type section to date!

I guess it's significant when all E drivers have to talk about is their age! Bowel movements next?

HI E Type Drivers young and old. I'm legally retired so don't need to quote age any more, I've got a discount card to prove it!!
How about a few answers to the posts that I have put on the board, I'm sure my e-type and my problems / issues are not unique :?:
Best Regards
