Pleased to hear it went through the MOT okay, hopefully the remaining summer weather will be kind and that you can out there and drive it. Do you have any more pictures?Passed its MoT today.
Just a few more issues to correct or fit, like the heated front screen.
Should be ready to take to the next Northants region meet![]()

Re: Nearly new to Jaguars
Hi Jerry,
The car looks great, I have spend the last two and a half years building my series2 fhc and it past it's MOT last week.
Just waiting on the DVLA now for the registration (USA car).
Good to see another one on the road.

Re: Nearly new to Jaguars
Well done Mark. 2½ years is a long time for one project though my friend nearby spent 8 years rebuilding a 1902 Benz.
I went to the restorers today where the car is getting some final fettling. He had a professional photograph doing some fancy pictures last week. I hope to get copies in due course.
If anyone is going to the Goodwood Revival, my car will be on the Splined Hub stand.

Hi Jerry,
All done by yours truly evenings and weekends with a few home DIY projects to interrupt progress hence the 2.5 years although the time just seem to fly by.
Enjoy Goodwood, I have been a couple of times, it's a fantastic event, I,m hoping to get there next year in the E Type
Seems a shame we don't have more people using this forum.

I could not agree more, very disappointing the amount of discussion generally. One can wait weeks or months for a response to a question.Seems a shame we don't have more people using this forum.
I'm used to other make forums and modelling forums where there is great participation. And it is not an age related phenomenon!

Re: Nearly new to Jaguars
Got my registration late last week, managed to bodge some number plates out of black sticky back plastic and stick on house numbers
She runs great much more refined than I expected the Dynomat seems to have done the trick, had to hold myself back on the revs with my newly built engine.
One problem when I got home the paint on the bonnet has bubbled next to the vent on the exhaust side.
Although it has only bubbled on the outside not the inside of the bonnet I will have to have a conversation with the painter.
Cheers
