Need to borrow a X or S wheelnut unlocking socket

Panic not !. By this I mean I'll come to anybody in the Oxford / Maidenhead area who is willing to let me use their wheelnut key to let me get my locking nuts off. Certainly not expecting anybody to post me etc their precious socket. Nor is their risk of damage as the nuts have been off very recently, greased up and torqued back on correctly. Just went for a drive afterwards with the damn socket in place still.

What's the code I ask you say ?. Don't have a clue and neither do those friendly folks at Jaguar either but not all is lost as it's a simple pattern that is instantly recognisable.

Looking inside your key, does your key look like a " Y " with the fourth detent sitting equally in the upper centre between the two forks of the Y. This fourth detent and the one on the bottom leg is directly inline through the centre. Or for those of you who are children of the 70's think of the CND symbol. It's the same.

If you think you have a matching key then please message me with your location and we can even exchange pictures to see if I think it will fit and you are within a reasonable distance.Then I can pop round, use your socket to get my wheelnuts off and replace them with after market ones on the spot. Might be even worth a pint or two !.

Hi Henry - most independent specialists will keep a pot of these from old cars for just this purpose so why not drop into one of them? They may even sell you one that fits? Or 4 plain wheel nuts to replace the locking ones? After all, when was that last time you heard of someone having their alloys stolen?
