1.. Does anyone know if there is a Jaguar/Haines (workshop) manual?
2.. Is there a smooth clear perspex cover for the fog lamps, in order to give a smooth profile around the front bumper?
3.. Is there a small tool kit for X-type, similar to tool kits carried in earlier jaguar models?
workshop manual &c.,

Hi can only help with question 1... There is no manual for the x type, but you can get a CD (ebay) which I believe is what was used by Jaguar Techs, but it only goes up to 2004, there is one version which seems to have some later 2005 updates..the disc covers a number of the later Jags, but does have section for the X type petrol and diesel 2.0, also I understand you can, for a fee !! log onto the current Jaguar Service data base for info, but have no details on how or what the charge is....

Ive got the 2005 and last version (v21) of the JTIS (Jaguar Technical Information System) CD.It covers the 2.0d including estate. On it are things like DTC codes, repair procedures, electrical wiring diagrams, sensor location, fault finding, maintenence sheets, workshop procedures with pics, etc etc etc
PM me for more info on getting a one.
Since 2005 Jaguar ditched the JTIS and all of the dealers use an online subscription website to access data and information from Jaguars GTR website.Anyone can subscribe and it costs from around £9 per day for one model for one model year up to around £900 per year for all models and all years.
Dont subscribe on a Sunday as the site is often down for maintainence and tends to go offline for a while and your subscription runs out at midnight regardless if you only pay for 1 day
