Main beam bulb replacement

Hi, I recently had to change the main beam bulb, drivers side however could not get my hand in to remove it. The car was still under mondial assist cover and they came out and replaced the bulb . To do this they had to shift the abs control unit. I am not comfortable doing this myself and am wondering is there another way around this, has anyone come accross a special tool that can be used???

I regularly have this problem when changing over to right hand dip when going abroad ( moving the dip lever next to the bulb seems to blow the bulbs ) The easy solution is to ask somebody with small hands to do it. I usually have my daughter aged 15 with me and she welcomes the challenge to be able to do something technical that Daddy cannot do!

I took my X-Type Estate to Halfords about 2 years ago to get a headlight replacement bulb fitted. After two hours they failed to remove the complete front bumper (since they couldn't get their hands around to unclip the light fitting from behind).

My local dealership (Stratstone Jaguar) then took around 15 minutes to do the job.

I have since found a great local Jaguar specialist (http://www.mistermatic.co.uk) and he did it in less than 10 minutes.

People who know what they are doing can do it quickly and effortlessly !
