I've been through the manual a million times (prone to exaggeration) but as far as I can see there is no way to 'fine tune' the damn thing.

Is it me expecting a miracle or is the standard issue radio just a pile of s*it?

The 'Pioneer' in my XJ-S relays 'Wogan' perfectly but when I take the X to work all I get is a load of broken dialogue and a scratchy noise...

i get the same on my X-type if i have the rear window demist on. it is because the aerial is fitted around the rear window. or so the jaguar garage man said. bit of a daft place to put it but they must know what they are doing (hopefully)
other then that it sound like an aerial connection problem.
