Hello Folks,
The rear drivers window on my 2001 3.0L has stuck down. On operating the window from closed it moved down about 1.0 inch at a time by repeatedly operating the switch. Once fully down it would'nt go up. I disconnected the plug on the window motor and on pressing the switch to go up it went up 1.0 inch and stopped but would'nt go up further despite operating the switch. When pressing the switch to go down it went down again but would not come up at all. On disconnecting the plug and retrying it went up again 1.0 inch but no further as before and again on pressing the switch down it went down and would'nt come up again. I tried the procedure again and it repeated. Have followed the procedures as detailed in the handbook but nothing works.
Could anyone help? Any advice welcome. Tanx in anticipation. Charlie.

Just an additional question~does anyone have a wiring diagram for the electric windows? I have the Haynes manual but there's no diagram there for the windows. Thanx. Regards.

I had a similar problem to this on the driver's window and no amount of resetting iaw the handbook made any difference. In the end I disconnected the battery for a couple of minutes, reset the windows and all was well.
I did experience this problem a couple of other times (I've had 2 X types over 14 years!) and found that just removing the relevant fuses for the affected window did the trick. There are two fuses for each (diagonally arranged in my car) pair of windows. Your hand book should identify the fuses for your model year that are different to mine.
Hopefully either of those two ways will help you out, but let the forum know for future reference and for more help if required.
The whole set of electrical diagrams can be found here http://www.jagrepair.com/Default.htm
