Headlights coming on on inserting the Ign key.

Hello,
On entering the car and inserting the Ign key the main beam comes on before starting the car. On startup the lights go off. Can anyone advise why this is happening..Thanx Charlie.

are you sure your not activating the ' see you home lights ' button on the remote by accident ?
once the ignition is turned this feature would turn off each time
just a guess

Many thanx.. Will check that out. Also got another Q if i may on the auto doorlocks that activate immediately after driving off. Read somewhere that its possible to disable this? Do you know how to do that or where to go to investigate. Thanx in anticipation. Charlie.

yep auto door locking can be de-activated, but it is a dealer job, try XJK they have the right kit to do this for you
