Brake light issues

Hi I am wondering if any one else has had a problem with their brake lights. Driving home tonight I noticed that when I dipped the clutch the brake lights come on and when I brake the lights stay on for up to a 60 seconds so far.
Has anyone got any ideas before I take her to the garage.

Sounds possibly like a switch issue to me. The brake light switch is mounted on the peddle box under the dash I would be putting my hand up and under and have a good feel around to see if anything is out of place.

Thank you for reply, It seems the brake pedal was slightly loose and by tightening this it has stop the problem. It has also rectified the problem I had with the cruise control canceling it's self. All fixed for the sum of £17.50 and a slightly restless night.
