Rear hub bearing change out.

At 16 years old and 80k miles the rear hub bearings are noisy so need replacing. On paper it didn't seem too onerous a job so long as you have access to a hub puller (AWD models). The four Torx headed bolts each side holding the hub in place were really really difficult to get out finally breaking one of my T50 sockets. The hub was made extra difficult to draw off the driveshaft splines as it seizes into the hub carrier with corrosion. Took all day to strip down with just one Torx bolt needing drilling out.
New parts from SNG look great quality and with a repaint of the brake disc shields it should be back together in a fraction of the strip down time. Anyone else tackled this job at home and struggled?
