not for the first time, I have lost the key for removing the locking wheel nuts. Jaguar will be only too pelased to assist and relieve me of more than £80. does anyone know of a place (I live in solihull, WestMidlands) or where I can get a tool to remove these wheel nuts?

Main Dealers usually have a service box containing all the different combination lock nut removers. They will usually charge to selectively try each tool in turn until they find the one that fits. That is the most sympathetic and least damaging method of removal. Locking tools are not sold separately to locking nuts at Main Dealers. They are to my knowledge, only sold as complete nut and remover sets.
Alternatively, you will be down to mollering the nuts off. It is not nice or funny with the ever present risk of damage to the alloy rims. Method is an undersized socket bashed onto the nut before levering undone with a hammer gun or lever bar. Not recommended.
Try Eurojag for a complete second hand set of lockers. Unless you know the number stamped on your lost removal tool, you are unlikely to source a replacement. There are just too many combinations to take a lucky shot at finding one by guess work. Geoff Adams at Adamesh sells new sets at good prices. That is where I would go for a new set.
I make it a point in my mind to stand over a tyre fitter as he finishes fitting tyres to my car. I then stick my hand out and make sure I recover the lock remover at that point. Lost locking tools can be a nightmare to sort out and I treat my locking tool like gold dust. I also keep it separately from my car tool kit so there is never an excuse for it going missing.
