Hi. New here with my first Jaguar.
My air conditioning is a major headache which the dealer has so far been unable to fix.
It is not blowing cold air, only about ambient temperature.
It has a new compressor and has no leaks. The lower front pipes, one is hot, one cold.
Air seems to blow in the right direction and they say all flaps seem ok.
Does anyone have any ideas please? The dryer has not been checked as far as I know. Where would I find this please? Is it checkable?
Any ideas would be great thanks.
Dave Dixon.

A complex system perhaps best investigated by a local air conditioning specialist.
This link is to the workshop manual. All 2010 pages of it. Aircon appears covered from page 2006.

Google "Jaguar X-type air conditioning schematic" for more general info. Hope this helps.

Re: No Cold Air
Thanks Mike. I will have a look in a weeks time on return from holiday. It appears true air conditioning boffins are non existent in East Cornwall!

Re: No Cold Air
Noticed early this morning whilst driving home from Bristol airport that even with a/c off the car was steaming up quite easily.
As soon as I pressed the def button everything cleared immediately.

Re: No Cold Air
Dave, did you get anywhere with your a/c?
Mine is still playing up after replacing the condenser; it runs fine for 10 or 15 minutes and then just blows ambient air in.
Sometimes it will start blowing cold again a bit later but mostly not.
If I leave the car for a bit and then go back to it, it will start blowing cold again for a while.
There were no apparent leaks either before or after the condenser was changed and I believe that the system is still fully gassed.
