Bit of History - I have had an issue for a few months with the ABS occasionally kicking it at low speed for no reason, which then put the ABS light on. This would clear after a restart.
I changed both rear hubs (with new ABS sensors included) as the bearings were getting old anyway. At the same time cleaned up the front, new discs/pads and removed and re-seated sensors.
ABS light stayed on, became permanent.
Bought a Mongoose clone cable (JLR SDD 130) to read the faults, at this point I had C1145, C1155, C1232, C1233.
Replaced both front ABS sensors with new.
Now only showing C1155.
Ran through all JLR tests, checked wiring for shorts, resistance etc.
Swapped link leads from one side to the other - still C1155 code.
Thinking it could be a module fault, I changed the ABS module (ECU part only).
Still C1155 code.
This weekend ran a new wire straight from the ABS module to the sensor with soldered joints so no chance of any problems.
Still C1155 Code.
I have tried clearing the code with JLR SDD, but it will not clear.
To add to the confusion, I ran live diagnostics on all 4 ABS sensors with SDD, and all sensors appear to be working perfectly. Speed signals rise and fall at the same rate and to the same levels.
Does anyone have any ideas what else I could look at? Could it be worth changing the solenoid block, even though there are no codes relating to this?
ABS C1155 Fault code won't clear after extensive testing and new parts - Help!!
