Hello Folks,
Got brake failure on my 2001 3.0L AWD manual in that the brake pedal goes to the floor. With the engine off you can pump the pedal and it comes back up and goes hard. If you then start the engine the pedal goes to the floor again. Wondered if anyone had experienced this problem? Would appreciate any advice. Thanx in anticipation. Charlie.

Don't know the car. But from what you describe it's vacuum servo gone
As you're getting hard pedal otherwise
Just a thought...
Let us know how you get on?

Further on this~the pedal was very slowly descending with the engine off and an investigation revealed a slight leak on the pipe from the LH flexi connexion across to the distribution block. Took some finding and the pipe is not easy to replace but got there in the end. Rgds.
