Transmission oil cooler 2005 2.5L

I have a transmission oil leak where flexible pipes connect to the cooler. A codged repair had been done with bodyfiller prior to me getting the car. The bodyfiller prevents me seeing the connection. Does anyone know what sort of connection it is?

Also is there a transmission oil level plug? In the haynes manual it shows a special 2 piece drain plug that also acts as the level plug but my car does not have this, just a simple plug.
