HELLO EVERYBODY,
JUST OUT OF INTEREST AND FOR INFO, I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT WYNNS PRODUCTS HAVE NOW BROUGHT OUT AN AEROSOL CLEANER CALLED DIESEL EGR 3. PRICED AT £9.90. IT'S APPLICATION IS FOR CLEANING THE EGR VALVE , TURBO AND INLET SYSTEM OF DIESEL ENGINES . I HAVE GIVEN IT A TRY AND IT SEEMS TO HAVE DONE WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN AND HAD THE DESIRED EFFECT OF IMPROVING THE RUNNING AND MAKING THE MOTOR SWEETER. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD MENTION IT. REGARDS, CHRIS.

Hi Chris,
did you remove the egr and clean it, or just spray in via the air intake?

Hello Graham,
I decided to just take out the air filter element and then spray into the intakes. this seemed to work well and did the job ok.

Need to change EGR valve

Hi all,

I am considering changing the EGR valve (and intercooler hose) on my xtype 2.d - 2006.

I find all kind of prices on the web from £29 to £300 +

I looked at ebay and other suppliers - some are cheap chinese suppliers and I would prefer to source nationally or EU at a good price.

- can anyone recommend a reliable provider with fair prices ?

- some of the EGR valves are sold with electric connectors and some w/o and I will probably have local kwikfit to replace it: should I buy with or without electric connectors ?

I appreciate any tip you can give me
Thanks a lot

Try Eurojag, got a refurbished one from them for £60 for my X350, worked fine. Don't go for a cheapo import, false economy, but don't go for new either, not necessary.
