Hello Hello Hello...

Evening all,

Just a quick hello - "hello"...

Thought it was time to drop by as various parties have been encouraging me to do so for quite sometime as I ( in their words 8) ) have an X-Type that is "worth talking about".

Some of you may have seen it on Flickr - I own the preserved Merseyside Police X-Type LL03 VAA.

All being well I hope to get it out and about to a few more events this year. It was very popular at the few events I took it to last year so promise to do some more - but don't forget to invite me...

( No, the XF isn't mine  )

Hi Paul

Thanks for the post. The car looks fab and I look forward to seeing it for real, learning more about it and how you came by it. During my time at Browns Lane I did some work on Series 3 and XJ40 police cars so hope to catch up soon.

Thanks again, Steve Cocks

Hi Steve,

Good to chat last night.

I'll start digging out some stuff for you!

Dates will start to go in the diary soon and Weston Park - being so relatively close - is a definite.

In the meantime, see if you can spot it on this youtube upload - it's there on three occasions...

Hi Paul, just to let you & other members know, I've added your pics to the "jaguar x-type" group on Flickr.com. If any other "x-typers" have got pictures of their cars please feel free to add them to this group.

Excellent Paul. I look forward to seeing you and your X Type plus some other interesting Police cars from your Club at Weston Park in June.

Regards

David

By popular request I'm going to post a diary of where "Charlie 1" - plus the supporting crew of a selection from the policecaruk.com squad - will be visiting this year.

If I have said "yes" to an event and it isn't posted don't worry and don't hesitate to send a gentle nudge and I'll add it!!

I brought the Jag out of hibernation today for a bit of fresh air and thought I'd take a picture for you all to enjoy...

Just a reminder for anyone in the North West of our fine land that "Charlie 1" will be at the North West Transport Museum in St Helens on Sunday, all day.

J E C Members with their cards will get a front seat and be allowed to push buttons - non members will be sat in the back and questions will be asked.....

See you there!

Great show at St Helens, if you like buses... 8)

A good turn out and the ex police cars are always popular.

Next event is Sandbach Festival of Transport, Cheshire on Sunday 22nd April. However I may be taking my West Midlands Range Rover if I ever get the time to finish it. Of course, do we ever actually "finish" our restorations?

Modesty permits me to drop a subtle hint to turn to page 84 of the latest "Jaguar Enthusiast"...

...and to think I took that picture with a mobile phone.

Technology eh - next they'll be selling petrol at supermarkets...!
