Evening all.Thought I'd say hello!I joined the club back in Nov at the Lancaster insurance show NEC. Really felt like it was a friendly well run site.
What I liked most was that there was no 'snobbery' I was told "if you've got a Jag, regardless of what model, you'll be very welcome".

Anyway here I am onto my 3rd. I was bitten by an '04 S type 2.5 V6, wow! she was a belter. I only sold her as at the time, wages were not the best & my heavy right foot & her sport mode meant 27mpg!! not good for the daily commute to work.

I traded her for a Rover 75 - closest thing to an S with walnut dash & leather seats. However, as I'm sure most will agree, the itch was there, I missed the Jag, and all the little things about owning one - daft things such as the Jaguar logo on the dash clocks. I had well & truly been bitten.
So last year, I began the search & in Middlesborough via Autotrader I found my second love. A 2.0D X-Type SE. In mint condition full MOT and a snip at £700!
I'm now onto my second X-Type - an 08 2.2 S Auto. Bought for a song but needed some fettling as she'd been laid up for nearly 6 years.

Glad your enjoying your X-Type Phil.
You can't help but smile while your driving a Jaguar .
I met Lawrence Phillips at the Jaguar Festival a couple of weeks ago,he is the forum co-ordinator for the X-Type section in the Club Magazine.
A really nice guy and he has the cleanest X-Type I've ever seen.
Post some photo's of your car if you can so we can see what you have.

Hi Andy, thanks for the welcome. I met Rob Jenner at last March's show, was good to chat with him.

I'll be posting some before pics of the car then the after shots. I was going to mail the club mag with pics showing the various stages of fettling. Thought it might make a interestig read.
