Think that's the correct data for the manual? Quite a few auto's still about.

This XJ40 looks special. I'm sure you could tell me what the differences are to the XJR/Sovereign? I assume it's not supercharged as I understand that only appeared on the X300 on?

Very nice though!!

Jon,

That data can't be just for the x300 xjr as the numbers increase post 1997. Therefore it must also include the x308 at least.

Yes, I see. Also the 350 as well then! Very confusing nailing the correct figures!!

Jon,

That table doesn't include x350 but it also doesn't include x300 Auto or any XJ40 XJRs! So it seems to be a weird mix of some x300 XJR manual plus some x308 XJR SWB auto!

This is the problem with howmanyleft. It's only as good as the DVLA naming convention that was used on V5 documents. And both Jaguar and licensing authorities seem to have been a law unto themselves as to how they used naming conventions! So you have to go through all the Jaguar variations to try and find a path through it. Use it with extreme caution!

Thanks Paul. I will. I have managed to pin down certain models from other manufacturers, but this seems most confused!!

I assume descriptions stem from the V5 and if that's inaccurate...your stuffed!!

I am sure there could be a couple in barns somewhere, but they haven't surfaced in the past few years.
