Breaking Jaguar 3.2 Sport 1996

My 3.2 Sport is far too rotten to try & put back on the road, so I am breaking her (unfortunately).

She has done 127,000 miles and still starts on the button (well until I start stripping her!!).

I am based near Chester, so if anyone wants to make offers on any bits, please PM me or use my JEC email address (found on the Forum page in our club magazine & on the Forum Contacts page here on the website).

Steve.

Naki,

Will try and get some when I get 5 minutes!!

I could probably salvage her/him - still under family debate. The missus & grandson (who is only 4 but already a car nut thanks to me) really want me to 'rescue' her/him.

I have a nasty feeling they may win.
It starts on the button, doesn't smoke (the car, not the missus!), all panels are straight (but rusty arches) & interior's not bad (usual sagging headlining). All suspension bushes (from initial inspection) look shot!

If I do proceed, it will be rejuvenated with some personal modifications that hopefully do it justice. IF I bite the bullet, I'll take plenty of photos for magazine/BB.

The main snag is that I have to do it all outside (no garage!).

Hey Steve,
If you do decide to go ahead with the project I have sitting in my garage:

Two front wings (very good)
Two Rear arch repair sections, new (from an XJ40, but only a very slight difference in profile)
Two brand new sills.

I also have a 4.0 ltr sport that has a fair few other bits and pieces if your after parts to get her on the road again.

Same story as yours, starts on the button 187K miles, but runs sweet as nut. Alas rusted to buggery, floor pans, inner wings, sill, arches, etc etc.

James
