air injection

This is only out of curiosity. I have found that some XJ40's were fitted with air injection (injection of air in the exhaust manifold, in order to speed up the warming of the catalyst and reduce emissions). So 2 types of manyfold are available, with or without air. I suppose that air injection was design to comply to US emission regulations. Was it limited to the North American market ? I have never seen european 40's with air injection.

No nor have I , I guess it will be for markets such as Switzerland and the US

all late 300's all had secondary air injection, even in the UK, my own XJR has it this being a VERY late car in the run built June (ish) 1997
