XK150 TIMING CHAIN TENSION

Hi, Can someone please give me a step-by-step guide to checking the top timing chain tension? I understand that there should be 8-10mm of free-play on the inlet side. I also know how to tighten/loosen the tension and I have the special tool. What I am not sure about is how to get all the free-play onto the inlet side in order to check it. I may have other questions on this subject, but for now please just explain the procedure to me. Many thanks in advance. Chris.

Hello Parkie,

just ensure you rotate the engine in it's normal direction, i.e. clockwise from the front which puts tension on the exhaust side of the chain.
