Rear shock bushes - square or round?

Postby thejpster » Mon May 11, 2015 8:30 pm

I'm having the KYB Gaz-a-just shocks at the back of my X300 replaced with Jaguar originals, in an attempt to find the source of a very annoying metallic clunk coming from the rear of the car. Or maybe the front - it's one of those noises.

The rear off-side KYB has come out and actually doesn't look in bad shape. The weird thing is, it has doughnut top bushes, which seem to fit nicely into a rounded receptacle. The Jaguar shocks have orange cylindrical bushes, and they look like they are square pegs which are going to get squished into a round hole.

Have I bought the wrong shocks? Does anyone recall what it's supposed to look like? Should I keep the doughnuts or jam the jaguar bushes in?
