Recommended rear shocks

Hi

The rear shocks on my recently acquired X300 are past their best. In fact old MOTs show advisories say "no damping" how come that's not a fail like a leaky one that still has damping is?

Anyway - does anyone have any warnings regarding makes to avoid? I have been looking at KYBs and Monroes so far.

Munros ought to do the trick. I fitted a set last year, very pleased. You'll need to use the type of spring compressor as illustrated in the workshop manual, I tried the traditional type first and couldn't get the spring out with those mounted. Have fun!

This will often be a personal choice.
I like Bilsteins myself, but they might be harder to find/ more expensive?
