Good Afternoon to all.
My first post, so bear with me if there are any obvious mistakes.
My rear suspension 'Clunk' is currently from the inboard end of the offside wishbone.
This is supported by a 'Fulcrum Bolt' which attaches the wishbone through the 'Wishbone Tie' at one end and the 'Pendulum' at the other.
The bush that has failed is through the Wishbone Tie and is the rearward of the two on the car and at the Bolt head end of the Fulcrum Bolt.
All the parts diagrams that I have seen have the part no. for the 'Pendulum Bush' as CAC 4713
however no Part No. for the Wishbone Tie Bush.
Does anybody know if the these bushes are the same?
Alternatively does anybody have a Part No. for the Wishbone Tie Bush?
Car is 1994 X300 4.0 Sovereign
Many Thanks

Re: X300 Rear Suspension Fulcrum Pin Bushes
firstly these are an unusual failure, rear end clonk is either a lower shock bush or the outer lower fulcrum bush as shown in the diagram

if your failure is the inboard end then you will need the bush number 17 as shown here, CAC 4713 as you rightly say

the "wishbone tie" is the bracket it all bolts up to, this part number varies from model to model, but a 4.0 300 should be MNA2850AB and of course is no longer available, that said I have never seen a failure and I have never sold one

Re: X300 Rear Suspension Fulcrum Pin Bushes
Many thanks for your response although not exactly what I wanted to hear!
Just my luck to have an 'unusual' fault!
I have had a chat to a chap at Jaguar Classic Parts, who confirms what you are saying, for the sake of a £10 bush I have to buy the whole Wishbone Tie as the bush at this end is not available as an individual part. What a shame.
The current Part no. evidently is MNC 2850CA, cost of £139.46.

Re: X300 Rear Suspension Fulcrum Pin Bushes
Ron1,
As Rob says, the bushes never seem to wear at that end, so a 2nd-hand wishbone tie bar would seem a very cost-effective option.
Good luck
Paul
