paint codes

Postby barold » Wed Apr 09, 2014 9:44 pm

Looked everywhere, can't find the plate / label which includes the paint code.

So, please help. 1995 XJR in Torquoise. A colour I believe was created for this model.

What is the code? Thanking you in advance for your help here.

Need to get my wheelarches sorted. sound familiar?

Ta, Barry

Barry,

I suspect it's colour code - UDB as also used on XJSs. Type "Jaguar Turquoise UDB" into Google and you'll probably find a website that will show you the colour to confirm.

Good luck

Hi Barry,

If I'm correct, your three digit paint code should be on the plate above the radiator near where the bonnet hinges - unless it has come off over the years!

Steve.

Steve, Thanks. Yes it's gone. A vinyl based sticker what! Maybe Ford thought that after 20 years identifying a paint code would be the least of our problems!

Paul, thank you , UDB sounds like a good start position. I'll order up a rattle can and see how it comes out.

thanks guys

this my default site for paint codes

UDB is indeed Turquoise, or in some cases I have seen it called Bright Turquoise, and, yes it was a colour launched to coincide with XJR 300 launch in 1994
