restoration

Postby greenie60 » Fri Aug 10, 2018 8:32 am

help ! I've done it again.
I wore those rose coloured spectacles that I've worn many times before over the years. I wore them when in the eighties I bought a crumbling 1965 s-type.

I have a 1987 Daimler with holes in it that weren't there when it was born. can anyone recommend a body shop that can help at a reasonable price in the east Anglia region preferably in cambs.

i'm taking my Daimler to a restorers on sunday for the dreaded rust cut out/removal/repair but cant help feeling worried like a relative is about to under go a major operation in hospital.
worried that the rust has gone too far and I have to scrap the car ! i'm sure it wont be that bad but the cost will determine how far I go with it.
fingers crossed

I should have taken pics before it was done. might put some up here as is now but she's covered up at the moment.
still not perfect but I just like driving this car. my missus loves it too.
I need the headlining replaced (obviously), cam covers and wheels refurbed and some rust areas looked at
