ABS Warning Light on and Wire Cut...

Hi all,

I'm posting this on behalf of another JEC member who is not all that Internet Savvy.

His car is a G-Reg'd Daimler XJ40 with the earlier brake system (earlier that is than my 1992 '40!)

Anyway, his ABS light is on constantly and investigation has revealed the following wire cut off and tied back on the passenger side front wheel.

Could this be the cause?

If not, what is this wire for?
