Hi Folks and a happy new year to you all.
I have an 'R' reg X300 Sovereign. Every time I start the car up it ticks over at about 1400 to 1500 rpm until it warms up then drops to around 1000 to 1100. Can anyone suggest what is wrong.

try a little WD 40 on the throttle linkage this may help

if not the throttle pot may be at fault

The throttle body needs cleaning. Carb cleaner may do it but if not you may have to strip it down to do it.
