Just a very quick question. My 3.2 X300 with 121k on the clock, has recently started revving to 6000rpm before changing up the autobox. Now previously I'm almost sure when I had my foot flat on the floor in kickdown, it changed up about 5700rpm, just in the red-line, but I'm sure it wasn't as high as 6000rpm. It doesn't hit any sort of limited or miss-fire. I suppose some might say I shouldn't rev it that hard anyway, but the car runs well, and the engine is strong. Anyway, I just wondered if anyone knew if there was a fault, or a reason for it seemingly to start revving higher.
Thanks, Peter

Re: Automatic Change-up Speed
I think the shift point can be adjusted essentially by adjusting the shift cable, on the 4HP22 box (fitted to all 3.2 AJ16.
Be careful though. Mark the original point.
I would also check the condition of the trans fluid. It should be bright pink. Any other colour than that, and it needs flushing through.
