OK. I'll be going for them if I need to! No problem, I already have a full Stainless-Steel exhaust what could be better?

If JLR were to produce better quality manifolds that would last without the fracture issue I would go for the replacements otherwise why bother? I think the quality issue is critical and should be addressed when the production enquiry is made.

I think this is a good point.
Something definitely changed in the quality/ manufacture between XJ40 and X300, as the 40 manifolds hardly ever crack. I have stacks of 40 manifolds here, and no X300 uncracked. That’s a definite difference in my book. The 40 units are all older too!
Though whether Jaguar can/ would ever guarantee any kind of quality assurance is unlikely.
End of the day, I think it’s akways good to have new genuine parts available when possible. There will always be owners who are particular about originality and will not want any aftermarket parts, no matter whether they are technically better or not. Choice is key.
I think it’s clear that from here on, many new stock parts that do get made are likely to be considered “expensive” by many owners. But it’s good to have them available anyhow.
