CD Autochangers

Hi, Newbie here after too many years away from Coventry's finest. HE V12 XJS, Series 111 4.2,
62, MK11 3.8.

Now getting acquainted with X300 3.2 Sport, and totally in love with it. Only one small cloud on my horizon, a non working CD Autochanger. Now, I see these these being advertised 2nd hand for around £60 - £75 but, invariably with the disclaimer of "No Magazine". What's this all about?

Why ? What happens to these magazines? surely they can't be suitable for anything else other than their original purpose.

Unless they're being secretly shipped to Iran as part of their nuclear project I cannot imagine why they would not remain in situ as an essential part of an assembly.

I would love to hear any suggestions as to this anomaly as I would also welcome any offers of a
COMPLETE unit at a reasonable price.

Damn, just realised I used the words: Iran, nuclear, essential, assembly in an email ! If I don't reply to any posts it'll be likely that I'll be in an orange boiler suit winging my way to the land of the free.

I just bought a CD changer off Rob. The magazine is pretty flimsy and I could easily imagine it getting broken while you swapped CDs in and out of it. Given it only takes six, I'd be doing that pretty often.

I actually bought it so I can build an MP3 player that looks exactly like a CD changer as far as the standard Jaguar radio is concerned. My changer will be spare once I'm finished, but it's a little way off.
