Glastonbury XJ Cinema!

Postby ChrisDixon » Tue May 23, 2017 10:24 am

Did anyone see the item in Classic Car Weekly (10 may, page 2) about Glastonbury wanting 50 X300/X308 as seating for an outdoor cinema? They are paying up to £1000 for driveable cars, and intend to keep them for use each year. At the time of publication they had apparently sourced around 25 cars and needed to find the same again in the next 5 weeks.

Is that the destiny for most old XJ's? Out in a field being crapped on by students and cows?
A bit of a sad state of affairs.

BBC1 One Show just had a piece on the ' Cineramageddon'. A strange mix of mainly American cars as well as various Jags. There were at least a couple of XJSs one red and one grey from what I could glimpse.

It said after the event all the cars would be dry stored and added to for the next event in two years time.
