Haynes Motor Museum - Saturday 13th June 2015

Whilst this is pretty close to the Morgan Factory Tour (days wise),I hope it doesn't deter anyone.

I planned it this way because I will be in Cirencester with my caravan(when visiting the Morgan Factory), then at the JEC Caravan Rally whilst visiting the Haynes Museum!

If anyone is interested, it is to commence at 10am & will cost £9.95 per person (again, prices are going up in April 2015 but they will honour this price for us - as long as there are 15+ persons attending!).

I will be down in Englandshire for a school re-union early in July, so if I get my act together Christine and I should be able to make those 2 proposed trips - there are usually some other shows to attend around that time too, plus family and friends to visit - I'll see what we can put together for a long trip in the black Daimler.

Could do with a couple more participants, otherwise we will have to pay the higher price of £13.50 each (instead of £9.95). Also they will NOT do a guided tour unless we have 15+ people.

Just to update you all on our impending visit.

As the total number is below 15, we will not get a guided tour (if our numbers increase before the day we still won't get a guide as it is too late - they are all volunteers). Therefore it will just be a leisurely visit under our own steam (so to speak).

Also (because the number is below 15) we will have to pay normal admission prices:
£13.95 (instead of £9.95) per adult.
£8.25 (instead of £4.95) per child (still free if under 4 yrs of age).

Still - it should be a good day out!!

Hi Steve,

Sorry to let you down but my mama of 92 died at the end of last month, effectively curtailing my week away that was to start with the Haynes visit. She had been a widow for 26 years and as I lost my partner four years ago, it all falls to me.

I am really sorry about this because it would have been pleasant to view the museum with other petrolheads who, whilst possibly not as old as my 63 years, might also not have had some of the interesting cars me and mine have had over the last 45 years! Ho hum.

I hope you all enjoy your visit.
