Well I believe that the Model Forum areas when down pretty well and the weather stayed very nice for us.

Met a few old faces & some new ones as well. Hopefully every else who made the effort to attend had a thoroughly enjoyable day. Well done to the Events Committee & the Essex & Sussex (sorry!) I mean the Essex & Suffolk Region for a successful Event at Ickworth House.

A great weekend again, good hotel fab dinner and dance[loved the live music ,my era the fifties] made lots of new friends and met old ones.Weather was sun all the way, although we stayed on and we had rain storms on Monday, even the wife enjoyed it and she is not a petrol head .Sunday was even better with lots of things for the wife to do while I had my fill of Jaguars. Well worth the run in the x j 40 from Shropshire thanks to the organisers for a fun full weekend.

I also attended Eastern Day - thought it was good. Sadly, my X330 took a sideswipe from a Romanian registered truck on the M6. He did stop- but after perhaps an hour on the side of the motorway - no police attended! The car needs a new rear door and wheel with some metal bashing for the wheel arch eyebrow. I hope it is not a commercial writ-off! Alec G.

I decided to force the issue. Bought a door from e-bay and persuaded the insurance company to view the car and visit the repairer. All except the wheel now fixed! Now I need that wheel and the insurance company to cough up!!!
