I have a scan from the S type parts manual.
Can't find how to attach this to a pm!!
If you send me an e-mail I can do it that way.
Mine is marcus_goody@talktalk.net

Basically you need to connect the pipe from the top of the connector on large reservoir tank (under R/H wing)
This has a tee piece in it a short distance from the outlet. The outlet from the Tee goes to the TOP of the res. inlet valve under the L/H wing. Then run a smaller rubber pipe from the lower valve (outlet) to the centre connection of the heater control box inside the car (under Radio)

Two hidden screws will be found under the parcel shelf carpet. These release the Radio/Heater
controls and the veneered surround so it can be pulled forward to attach the rubber tubing.
The outer connections go to the fresh air flap and heater ON/OFF vaccuum operated diaphragm valve.
These valves usually fail, so you can fit a washing machine type ON/Off valve into the heater hose.
More expensive is a vacuum valve from an early XJ6 - which can be made to work , but in reverse!!!
