Kent garages

Hello I own a 1966 MK2 and have recently got it back from “restoration “ you may gather from the quotation mark all is not well. I’m not inclined to go back to where it worked on before, so I’m looking for a good garage in the Kent area, your recommendation would be most appreciated

Hi Alan, probably depends on where you are in Kent and what you need doing. I know someone near Sevenoaks that specialises in Mk2s etc. on the mechanical side, especially tuning and steering, but don't do bodywork. Bodywork is a minefield but I have heard of some people (near Ashford as I recall) that operate as a small club and do work to fund their own cars. Among other things they sell refurbished body shells. If you post some details of what you need doing I'm sure you'll get some suggestions.
