Hi
Sounds like its air locked if there is not heat, feel the feed and return pipes, when the the car is upto full temp and the heater valve is open, both should be close to the same temp. Guess the flaps have been checked to be in the right position and the fan works!
I changed my fan and motor out for one from a metro, plastic fan, plus little bigger motor and it works a treat. Can let you have photos and write it down for you if you interested!
bye-o

Heating MK2
Problem is now solved but it may be useful to explain why.
The clown who had the car put a new matrix/new radiator/new hoses in the car.We put new controls, took it to bits and scatched our heads
However he had neglected to flush through the system.
The block of these old engines has a habit of getting a bit furred up,like and old steam engine ,and needs an eye kept on it The biggest culprit here is the bottom hose.
so if you have no heating and have gone through the replacing parts bit,
this is another thing to look at.
