Mk 1 front subframe.

Hello all,

I have a MK 1 saloon front subframe for sale, blast cleaned, primed and two coats of chassis black paint.

Originally done for my MK 2 until I found out that the geometry changed with the MK 2 so I decided not to use it.

Located in Oswestry, Shropshire.

Hi Alec,

Have you got a MkII front subframe for your MkII, if not I have one. I replaced my old subframe with a 420 subframe and stored the MkII one for years, it is now with a scrapyard friend who hasn't weighed it in yet so if you want it, its your to collect.

There is nothing wrong with the subframe, it took us to France once, but it is bare, no wishbones, but I think I still have the old manual steeringbox, idler and later arms (replacement track rod ends) I think.

thank you for the offer but I do have my original subframe.

I had been looking for a long time for the higher geared steering box for my car (As used on the 2.4 Mk 1 saloon) . I eventually ended up buying the front complete subframe and rear axle just for the steering box.. I managed to sell the axle quite easily but this subframe is not something that is often needed I suppose? No bites from E-Bay or the club's classified.
