Wheel alignment

Postby 344739lv » Mon Jul 16, 2012 10:31 pm

The outer edge of the near side front tyre on my MK2 3.8 is almost slick! The issue is not repeated elsewhere and tyre pressures etc are good.

Having replaced the tyre I am keen to eliminate the potential issues.

The car is fitted with an aftermarket peer steering kit (M&C Wilkinson kit). I can see that the panhard rod has also been adjusted at some point.

I would prefer an expert to give the whole geometry a once over.

I am Cardiff based but happy to travel. Is there an expert anyone could recommend?

Hi

Sorry I can't help youregarding nowing anyone in your area. However I'd suggest you get onto Wilkinson and find out the figure he recommends used for the power steering system he has fitted to your car. As you said get the whole system checked to ensure the back is running true to the car as well as having the front checked.
bye-o
