HD6 fuel leak

Hi Folks.
I recently had my Twin SU HD6 carbs rebuilt with new re build kits etc...

Not long after I got it back and took car for a run I started to smel fuel in the cab. I managed to get car home and used a camera to look under both carbs and discovered that the leak seemed to be coming from both banjo bolts holding the starter carb. I re tightened these and things have been fine until today when again I got home and the there is fuel leaking from the starter carb banjo bolt. I know they have all had new fibre washers etc..

Is there any way to stop the bolt loosing off after puting car through paces. For instance could we use thread lock ?

Petrol is very searching, finding its way easily past any seals which aren't perfect. When searching for leaks in places with restricted vision, it's often difficult to be sure that any fuel leak hasn't occurred elsewhere and then run down until becoming obvious. However, the banjos do seem to need occasional tightening, probably not helped by the aggressiveness of modern fuels damaging the fibre washers. Mike.

Hey Guys
Thought I should update this earlier post regarding the fuel leaks around the HD6 starter carb and the front float chamber.

What cured the leaking was buying new banjo bolts for the starter carb and the smaller banjo on the front HD6 float bowl. And, this is the crucial part, along with the new fibre washers I used a sealing compound. Pretty generic , thinks its called universal blue...

No leaks for 6 months...
