Does anyone happen to know what the Ohm resistance range should be between ‘empty’ and ‘full’ when testing a fuel tank sender unit with a multimeter please?
Also, I’m looking at the spare sender units I have and although they have different part numbers in the catalogue for the LH & RH, C26212 and C26211, they seem identical except the floats are on different sides.
The floats seem to be interchangeable in that they unclip and can be reversed.
Does anyone have any experience with this please?

A bit of digging and a closer inspection shows there is a subtle difference between the LH and RH units. The connection arm of the LH one appears to be shaped to give it an off-set whereas the RH is straight.
Still, if anyone has any further or better info, it’d be most welcome.

With no info available, I decided to do some testing.
Using a spare LH tank I have, I loosely fitted a LH float and then, to make sure it wasn’t fouling inside, I slowly turned the tank upside down and listened to the float move under gravity. It was fine.
I then repeated the exercise using a RH float, the one with a ‘straight’ arm and that too moved freely without fouling.
I also tested each of the spare sender units I have with a multi-meter, the readings on each of them were different but the resistance range from ‘full’ to ‘empty’ would appear to be around 20 - 200 Ohms.
I cleaned and re-assembled the lot, half-filled the tank and got a ‘half full’ reading on the gauge, so it all appears to be working fine now.
I’m still no wiser as to why the arms are different.
