E5/E10 petrol - What material to use for rigid fuel lines

Hi,
I have recently had petrol pouring through the hoses of another of my old cars. My local pipework supplier seemed unaware that there was ethanol in petrol. From online research I found and fitted Codan SAE30 R9 hose, but it made me wonder about the rigid lines front to back.
In that car I had previously fitted copper lines to and from a swirl pot, but it seems that copper is a catalyst for the breakdown of petrol!!
Our MkII has a plastic line front to back but of unknown type, I'm wondering if it OK or should I replace it with R9 hose, approx 6 metres of it.
As the MkII has been off the road since October 2019, just started occasionally (jacked up on axle stands) I've decided to dose it with Frost Ethomix, anyone any comment on this please.
Can anyone shed light on this subject and the likely health of the original plastic line please.
