Solex carbs

Got twin Solex carbs on a 2.4 1967, just noticed fuel as though flooding not noticed before does this happen with there carbs, idiot proof answers please new mk2 owner, also would i be advised to change to su carbs and if so what would i require to do this. Appreciate any advise thank you.

Solex carbs do have drain pipes from the inlet manifold, this allows excess fuel to drain, and stop the engine flooding.
Use only good high octane fuel!
