Rear bumper rubber 1962 MK2

Does anyone know if the rubber strip can be replaced with out removing the rear bumper? It looks like there are clips holding it in place and I don't want to remove the old one if I have a bigger job on my hands.

I found it an easy job to remove bumber to replace the strips. Jus a bit heavy so got the wife to hold it in place whilst undoing nuts etc! I did the overrider ones also as they had deteriorated also.

It sounds as though I have mine incorrectly fitted as the rubber just fits in easily and the end clips just rest partially on and to the bumper?? I took the rubber and chrome end clips off before removing the rear bumper for re-chroming. Am I talking about the same thing as you, the rubber fillet that sits between the bumper and the body?

Brian, mine was a very tight fit and the original started to break up trying to get it out. I suppose you could try doing it like you do a windscreen rubber but taking the bumber off also allowed me to clean the back of it and then protect it for the future.
