Colour Code for Dove Grey

I am in the process of restoring a 1958 Mark1 2.4l here in Nelson NZ. The original colour was Dove Grey. Can anyone please supply me with a code for this colour. Thanks

I consulted with Graham Searle here in the office and alas his very good source of paint code colour from the 50's onwards does not show Dove Grey.

Dove Grey was used 53 -56 according to this source, hope this helps

I received excellent and timely information from Jaguar Heritage when I enquired about paint codes for my 1963 Mk11. Unfortunately the original colour code (for Black) is now obsolete and no-one (it appears) converted it into a modern/recognised code.

Yes, I am in the UK. The "Black" colour codes identified for my Mk2 by Jaguar Heritage are (by supplier code)....
ICI= 122
BD= 1072
PJ= J869
GIP= 5030
Touch-up =GTU623
Aerosol = AP623

As mentioned before the suppliers I have contacted recognise ICI 122 but they say that they have no means of converting the ICI code into a 'modern' formula that their paint mix facility recognises.

There is a paint supplied for MG and Lotus cars (and others) that is a close match (or maybe my car's paint has changed shade of black over the years). The supplier is ignorant of it's match to ICI 122 or not. I have tried an aerosol just to test and will probably go with a full litre or so to re-finish the whole boot lid (the corner of which I have fixed some previous damage), in the hope that the difference will be imperceptible to the rest of the car.
