front screen rubber

I am having great difficulty fitting the chromes to my front screen rubber, the rubber is extremely hard and inflexible. At the March spares day I came across a vendor selling softer screen rubbers but have lost his details, these were more expensive at about £60.
Does anyone out there know of this supplier? it would seem to me to be a better option than trying to force my (perfect) chromes into the existing rubber and risking damage.

Hi, I used some from Woolies when I first got my car in 2000. However, My winscreen recently smashed from a stone and I got the replacement from SNG Barratt and the windscreen company had little problem replacing my chrome with it.

I'm going to have to do this job myself. The (softer) rubbers are in but I'm dreading fitting the chromes. They're notoriously hard to do and I'm told the S Types, (which I have) have theirs bonded in. Paul, from Potteries Jaguar Spares, told me they had to re-send some out to the Middle East because they'd cut the chromes in to pieces to get them in! Has anyone got any tips?
