I replaced a improved brake servo with a original one. There was no separate vacuum reservoir and have now problems with it's correct location.
I assume that the stoneguard is bolted to the front crossmember and also supported by a bracket from the brake servo bowl (2.4L, 1965).
Any help appreciated as usual.

I have a 1966 right-hand drive Mk 2 2.4L. My vacuum reservoir is located in the right-hand wing, with the stoneguard mounted on the cross member via a small bracket on the right-hand bottom corner, as you said. There is a curved rod that forms the top attachment, running between the top left corner of the stoneguard and the bowl in the inner wing that shields the servo.
Strictly speaking, the vacuum reservoir is not necessary. Jaguar installed it to provide an element of safety in case the engine stalled whilst the car was in motion. However, if you do not install it, a check valve is still necessary between the inlet manifold and the servo.
