Brake pedal removal v8 250 auto/ mk 2

Hello,
I am replacing the brake M/CYL and looking at the assy breakdown was wondering if it's possible to remove the mounting block assy complete with the cyl and pulling into the footwell complete with pedal if it would go through the hole ! Saves getting to the pedal pin & springs in situ which could be a pain. May not of course. Any advice much appreciated.
