420 transmission conversion

Has anyone converted a 420 from auto to manual? What boxes can be used? I really want to get away from 4000 rpm at 70 mph.

That seems a bit high, found manual box ratios, nothing for auto
Sure somebody will come up with what it should be.
Save changing the box

Hi James
4k RPM sounds a bit on the high side, although not sure what the gear box and diff ratio's you have. Would have expected it to be around 3200 RPM at 70 MPH (don't have any books with me at the moment to check.
You can always look at changing the diff for another with a higher ratio, should it be lower than standard.
